Catie Clapp

B.Ed. P.C.C, YTT 400, BreathWork Facilitator

Catie Clapp has spent over 20 years as a high school teacher helping youth find their way transitioning into adulthood. Following burnout, illness and surgery and the breakdown of a marriage, Catie went back to the basics to find her way back from surviving to thriving.

After over 400 hours of yoga teacher training, a year of professional life-coaching (ICF, PCC) training, a year of BreathWork and embodiment/somatic training, she partnered with her sister to open Willow. Catie believes the first step we must take is to go inward and to listen to the wisdom of our body.
Catie’s vulnerability, empathy, and understanding of the human experience helps others feel comfortable working through their own stress/tensions to feel more joy and freedom. We are all on our own path and our own timeline. Sometimes we need support getting us back on that path.

Catie holds many certifications BAH, B. Ed, Career Counselling training, Yoga Teacher Training (400 hours), Mind Rebel ™ Professional Coach Certification – Embodiment (ICF, PCC), and is passionate about her work as a BreathWork Facilitator (Level 4, David Elliott Breathwork).

When she is not enjoying precious moments with her four children, ages 10 to 15, you can find Catie finding quiet on a nearby nature path with three fur babies, Milly, Lulu, and Amey-Cat, perfecting the “Worm” or dancing with wild abandonment!

We believe...

We Believe in inclusion. Everyone sits up at the kitchen table together. Everyone has a voice and everyone can be heard. We embrace diversity, inclusion and acceptance for all. We believe in unpacking our privilege. We are committed to creating a community where people of different backgrounds come together. Of different body sizes and types and abilities and colours. Of health at every size and of combatting weight stigma. We believe in a culture of kindness towards everyone.

We believe in exceptional service. We are intentional. We focus on results. We fail forward. We embrace mistakes and learn from them. We believe you can achieve anything if you are focused, hard-working and have a road map. We believe that accountability is fostered through community support and cohesion.

We believe in community. We can do more together. We believe in giving with no expectations. We believe in asking how can I help? How can I serve?  We believe in showing up together with and for others with our hands and our hearts.

We choose joy. We choose a positive mindset. We choose to practice gratitude every single day. We want to work in an environment with vibrational energy, the kind you can feel when you walk through our proverbial doors.  We understand that we must first manifest that feeling in ourselves before we can fill our space with it. So we choose laughter and happiness and dancing and smiles, not because we believe life is always easy or fun but because we know that even during the hard times, we have the ability to create our own light.

We believe in personal development. Continuous learning. Growth mindset. Stretching and expansion. We believe that everything is “figure-out-able”! We also know that growth feels uncomfortable and can be messy. We believe when we embrace the emotions and feelings that come with change, we grow to embrace discomfort and not resist it.

Striving for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Willow Wellness is committed to appreciating and standing up for the uniqueness of all of our identities. We recognize our privileges as able-bodied white women holding class privilege as settlers in Canada and are committed to anti-racism, anti-homophobia actions. We are passionate about celebrating all people with diverse sexual orientation and gender identity, race and culture, abilities, age, religion and are committed to our ongoing learning and unlearning.

Let's take care of our mental health.
